Oh, California is going to be soooooo much fun. I’m leaving bright and early Saturday morning. I’ll be staying with one of my best friends, Juli, and her family, and doing shows almost every night within a few hours of San Francisco. I’m playing coffeehouses, bars, wineries, house concerts, and I can’t wait! If you live out there, come out to a show and see me!

Happy Spring, everyone! Ah, my favorite week of the year is here! It’s the week the 80-year-old white dogwood and hot pink azaleas in front of my house bloom. And there are these beautiful low-growing purple field flowers sprinkling the front lawn. AHHHH! Heaven.

Things have really been heating up around here. The wheels have been turning fast.

Ask anyone I’m really close to on a daily basis and they’ll tell you, I have plenty of opinions and I’m not afraid to speak them. Ask people who don’t know me on a daily basis, and they’ll tell you I’m really nice and easy to get along with. Truth is, like everyone on this huge spinning planet, I do things out of two reasons: love or fear.

So… it’s 2010! I look back on resolutions I’ve made in New Years’ past and think I’m batting about 50%. And only because I’m reluctant to make promises I don’t feel I can keep.
