Update
Things have really been heating up around here. The wheels have been turning fast.
Today, we just finished the Rain on Fire Special Edition Book and CD. It is an 80 page multi-media extravaganza! I thought we’d never get it done! It has been quite an enormous undertaking, if I may say so. Write, insert picture, proofread, edit, re-arrange, repeat. Over and over. Whew! Becky Lynn, my new media guru, has worked tirelessly to help Whitney and me whip this thing in shape.
Along with the full album CD, the Special Edition includes documentary photography by Whitney Jones, essays by me, album details, and a “making of” section. By the way, you are all gonna love Whit’s photography selections. The whole thing goes to production Monday morning and will be ready for sale by the album release date, April 6th, 2010.
I feel like I’ve been working from a cave the past few months. I can’t believe we have actually finished a book. I’ve always wanted to write one, and now it’s done. Nonetheless, it’s good to have a little room to breath again! I’m getting really excited to start touring. In a couple weeks I’ll be heading to Folk Alliance for the first time. This should be fun!
